Last week, Steve spent time in London. Meeting people and building relationships is his favourite part of the job. If you’d like to meet us and find out how we can Make Your Life Better, drop us a line, or get in touch through any of our social media channels.

Many clients are initially hesitant about incorporating their business. Often, horror stories heard at the pub put them off. There’s no need, as we can support you through the transition and as part of our ongoing support. Steve met with two separate clients last week, and was able to show them how to achieve the better protection and lower tax bills that come from limited company status.

Last week Andy and Sydney sat down and appealed some PAYE penalties for a client. These appeals were accepted and a fine of over £1000 was cancelled.  The client was thrilled!

We were delighted to learn today that Paul has passed his driving test. A huge “WELL DONE” to him!

During the past month we have welcomed three new team members – Paul Cookson, Becca Crocker, and Mike Walkden have joined us as accounts seniors, and will be a great asset as Numbers grows. Why not pop in and say ‘hello’ in person?

We are starting to run out of space – in addition to wanting to create a couple of areas in the office for collaborative working, so that we can communicate fresh ideas that will benefit our clients. To achieve this goal, we are working with a local company, ‘Scribble and Think’. Work will hopefully start at the end of the Spring, and we’d love you to come and have a little look when it’s done. We’ll keep you posted!!

Research & Development is for more businesses than just those in white coats! We have recently assisted a client in the professional sector to secure an R&D tax credit payment from HMRC in excess of £10,000.

Within 2 months of joining us, we have saved one client over £25,000 in Corporation Tax. Physically saved them it as we reduced a payment due on 31st January from over £35,000 to less than £10,000. That saving has paid our fees for 5 years! Want a second opinion on your tax affairs? Just let us know.

We are delighted to welcome Paul to Numbers as our newest Accounts Senior. Paul comes to us with excellent skills from his time in industry, and, we are sure, be an asset to the firm. He has fitted into the team brilliantly, and has taken to the work like a ‘duck to water’!

We are absolutely THRILLED to announce the brilliant news that Andy and Orlagh are expecting their second baby – due in June! I’m surprised you didn’t hear our loud squeals of delight when Andy showed us the scan pic this morning at the end of our Team Meeting! Haha! We are SO excited for them ????
